We are cutting it close..

We (okay me) have been waiting patiently to get my living room fixed so I can clean and put my house back together. Yesterday...this day finally arrived. We had the dry wallers come in, and then they painted and my living room is now DONE!!!

Can you see how much they had to cut away and replace. You can see the new 2x4's. The old ones were rotted.

2 weeks and counting

We have 2 weeks and counting. I am anticipating her going over (this way I wont be disappointed) but she really can come any time now! She is about 6.5 lbs now and boy I can tell whenever I stand. I think I will get some good biceps from carrying her once she is born!

Her room is done

With my house STILL under construction, Hannah's room is the ONLY room I can put together, so I enlisted the help of my mom and sister and we finally got it done. Her room colors are purple and pink and we decorated with flowers, butterflies and dragonflies.

So last night Stu decided to play around with his camera outside. We were taking Blue out to go potty before bed and Stu was intrigued by my silhouette as I stood there waiting for Blue to finish.
Both pictures were taken at 10:15PM.

Family Baby Shower

My sister-in-law Melissa held a family shower for me this last Saturday. I had a themed shower-A Library Shower. I really wanted to get books for Miss Hannah's library. Melissa's decoration and food went along with the theme and I got so many books for Miss Hannah. Thank you to everyone that came!

Melissa made these blocks for Hannah. It spells our her name and each picture on the block starts with the letter in her name. IE the first H is for Hippo, the A is for Angel fish, etc.

Melissa took an old book and cut it up and backed it with color paper. This was all over the house.

This was on the table. It showed the menu. We had things like "Mad Hatter Pasta Salad" and "Jack and Jill Lemonade"

Hannah's Grandma Reeder made her a quilt and I was able to unveil it at the shower. It is BEAUTIFUL (I wish I had an up close picture). The theme was flowers and the colors are so dainty and girly..I LOVE IT. The most thoughtful piece was that she used some of the fabric from my wedding quilt to put on her quilt. I thought that was a nice touch.

The Mold Problem Continues

Update on our mold problem:


We had our restoration company come out to get started on our mold problem. Of course they discovered a bigger problem once they took down the wall. I shouldn't have been surprised, this problem has been going on for 6 years, but it still put our clean up to a halt. Because of the position of the mold and the amount of the damage, we needed to involved Rocky Mountain Power to complete the job. Let me explain. Where the mold is located, is shares a wall with the outside where the sprinkler system was. It is 'thought' that the sprinklers not only created a pool at the bottom that allowed water to seep into the house but the sprinklers were also hitting the Rocky Mountain utility box outside and allowing water in that way too. Once this was discovered, the workers said the mold was all the way to the siding, meaning they need to start working for the outside-in. To do this we need to have the utility box removed. This means we had to involve Rocky Mountain who has to notify all the people effective by the power shut off (because we need to have the power shut off to do the work). So this put us out 2 weeks before Rocky Mountain can come help. I hope everything is put together before little Miss Hannah arrives.

Here is our mold problem. You can see the wall where is it. The sheet rock is on the floor (so it looks like it is on the floor but it is not, this use to be against the wall)

Here is the mold after the installation was removed. It is all the way to the siding and the mold is making the siding crumble.

The current state of our living room. We have a contamination section that was put up and the blue machine is recycling our air on a 24/7 bases.

Upon seeing our living room, my sister said she felt like she was in a horror film. The living room has a 'meat locker' feel she said. :)

She has arrived

My sister came home right after graduation. Cannon, Stu and I met her at the airport with flowers, balloons and a "Welcome Home" sign. We are so excited to have her home (even if it is just for a short time)

When we went to dinner later that night with Leah and her boyfriend Justin, Stu asked her if she got to fly first class home. She said she didn't know. I asked her if she has 1 seat beside her or 2. She said 1 seat and I said "Did you have a lot of room". She said she did. We told her in union..."you got to fly first class". She said she thought she was in trouble because they moved her to the front. She also said lots of people would shake her hand and thank her for her service.

She is a Marine

12 weeks ago she left for boot camp
The only communication was through letters
She left a girl and returns a women
She was a citizen of the America and now she is a United States Marine

My little sister graduates today as a Private in the Marines. I wish I could be there with her in South Carolina to help her celebrate but we had to miss it due to miss Hannah getting closer to delivery.

I am so proud of my sister. She has done something that few can say they did. She is my hero and I admire her and her strength. She said she would finish on time so she could come back for Hannah's birth and By George....she did it!!

36 Weeks

The count down continues. Only 4 weeks to go. Man does time really fly by. I think it is easy for me to say that since I have had a great pregnancy! I can't wait to meet my little girl!

He has a girlfriend

Blue our dog has gotten himself a new girlfriend. He is quite picky with who he will play with at daycare and I guess this 8 month old golden came and Blue was smitten with her. They played ALL DAY. Her name is Ruby. I love that our day care will send us pictures of him because we don't get to see him play with other dogs because he never will whenever we are around.
