One year down..

Stu and I celebrated our one year anniversary on the 3rd of January. It was strange really to think we have been married a full year. It is true what they say...the older you get the faster time goes by.
For our anniversary and for Stu's birthday we flew into Reno, Nevada and rented a car to Lake Tahoe. Since Stu was in charge of the honeymoon I decided to take the first year. And since we could not travel over Stu's birthday in Oct. we combined them. The plan was to snowboard in Lake Tahoe and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Mother nature however had different plans. If you watched the news this last week, California and
parts of Nevada were expecting blizzard conditions. Yep..we were caught in a blizzard. Lake Tahoe got about 6-8 FEET of snow. Needless to say we had to spend a day indoors (Which is not as glamorous as you might think considering the power went out and the TV didn't work), but only one day was wasted indoors. The others were spent outside. We went snowmobiling on our anniversary. And we went snowboarding in knee deep powder. I have never had so much fun in the snow. As Stu kept saying "It was Epic". I told Stu I spent a lot of money getting that snow there, but for my honey..I would do anything :) He found that funny.
Overall we had a great anniversary. Sad to say we are not newleyweds anymore. I told Stu maybe we could be newleyweds till we have kids..can you still be a newleywed at your 5 year anniversary???

New Year's Resolutions

Everyone has got one.. or two. What is yours? I have one of my own and I know Stu does too (at least I think he does :) )

New Year's Resolution for Stu and Sarah
*Get in shape. (Isn't this everyone's??) We have a trip to Hawaii planned in June and if it takes the Biggest Looser 4 months to get into that great of shape..I know I have at least another month to procrastinate :)
*Run another 1/2 marathon

New Year's Resolution for Stu
*Survive nursing school (after this year just one more semester to go)

New Year's Resolution for Sarah
*Get caught up on scrapbooking (or else stop taking pictures that I will have to scrapbook)

Of course there are plenty more we can put on there, but why have a ton of resolutions and not fulfill them. With a few resolutions you will for sure keep them.
