I forgot to post my final product of "picture a day" for 2012. I am proud to say I did it. I took a picture a day for 365 days. THAT is dedication. It was hard, but sooo worth it. I got those pictures you may have missed since I always had the thought in my head of "I need to get a for the day".
I am going to keep the tradition alive for 2013. If you want to do the same thing, here is the link to the blog that created it: Simply Kelly B
Here is a picture of 1 month out of the 12
And since I wanted to make sure I would always remember why I took the pictures I did, I decided to journal on the back of the page.

Discovery Gateway
Hannah had her 1st official birthday party at Discovery Gateway. We had been there once before but she was only a few months old, so I was looking forward to going back when she was a little bigger. She LOVED the place (it really is a cool place for kids). After the birthday party we could explore as much as we wanted and she enjoyed the toys and the kids that where there.

The kids got to decorate a crown. Hannah decorated it but didn't to wear it, so Daddy got to wear it.

There was an 'obstacle' course for the kids to go through. Daddy is offering his support to Hannah helping her put in the "secret code" to the castle.

17 Months
Its almost here. A year and a half. Hannah seems to go a million miles a minute and I consider myself lucky if I can keep up. She is such a joy, and even thought I shouldn't wish for her to start talking (I have a feeling she will be a non-stop talker like her mom), I wish she would start talking. I think the melt downs she has a few times a day might be better on mom because I will know what she is asking for. A "un..unn" and a point doesn't help.
Here are things about Hannah in this last month:
*She has cut her canine teeth. She just has her 2 year molars left and that mouth will be filled up
*Loved getting a treat a day from the Christmas count down
*Knows where her eyes, ears, mouth, nose and hair is
*Understands her sign language and uses it when we communicate
*Likes to do things herself
*Gives "fishy" kisses
*Knows how to open doors (we have to keep them locked or else she will wonder outside)
*Walks up the stairs by herself hanging onto the banister
*Developed her "Cheese" face
*Knows the #1 by putting up her index finger.
*Screams and hides in delight when we change her to get her ready for the bath
*Knows how to open bottles
*Can do patty-cake and itsy bitsy spider
*Says "Mama" (which melts my heart)
*Knows how people are (ask her "where is daddy, she will point to Stu)

Cheese Face

See the little chair the number sign is on? That was my chair when I was little like Hannah. Hannah LOVES books and LOVES to carry as many things in her hands as she can.

"Failed" Family Picture day
Stu got me a Groupon to have a professional photography take our pictures. I wanted to get them done for Christmas, but I waited to long and they didn't have any openings. I scheduled our shoot for the first available time in January. We went to St. George to visit my G & G and left early Monday morning to make it back in time for Hannah to have a nap and be happy for the 4PM shoot. I had this feeling that something was going to happen with our scheduled "plans", and called the group the morning of the shoot to confirm our appt. Left a message and felt better.
We made it home for Hannah's nap, I started to get myself ready: showering and curling the hair. Ironing the clothes (all newly bought special for the occasion) and did my make up. Hannah woke up happy, I got her ready and we left with 30 min to spare to make it to our outdoor appointment up at Wheeler Farm. As we are driving there, my phone rings...its the photographer. He told me with the inversion we have been having, it is causing the snow to reflect a lot of light and therefore washing out the subjects. He said he shot a family the day before and has to do them again. He was "willing" to try if we wanted...Oh I laid into him. I told him "first off, my appt starts in 20 min and you are just telling me this NOW. second we came home from our vacation early, I bought outfits for this shot and you couldn't call me earlier to give me a "heads up"???" I was so mad. I think he knew that and told me he would upgrade my picture package. But now we don't shoot till spring/summer. Since our outfits were sweater type, I will have to get a whole new outfit for us! ARGGGGG
Here are some picture we took ourselves since we were all dolled up.

6th Wedding Anniversary
Stu and I celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary. It was Stu's year to plan it, and he did an AWESOME job.
To start off, the Traditional Gift for 6th year is Iron or Candy. Stu decided to make me his "Arm Candy" and paid to get my hair done (cut and colored) earlier that day. My parents stayed with Hannah and when Stu got off work we went to get pedicures (yes Stu gets them too). We checking into our hotel room at the Anniversary Inn. It was soo nice. We left our stuff and went to Kyoto for dinner (yummy sushi) and finished the night with Hatch Family Chocolate hot chocolate. It was so nice to get away for the night. And the fun part was they serve to breakfast in the morning so you don't have to check out early to get breakfast.
I love you Stu! Thank you for all you have given me over the last 6 years. Your endless supply of love, gratitude and friendship. Thank you for our wonderful, beautiful daughter and looking pass all my short comings! I love you!!
