Preschool

We decided to put Hannah in preschool this year.  She goes twice a week for almost 3 hours.  She loves it and it is nice to have a 'small' break.

Hannah has to hold Abi every morning when she gets up.  I hope they are the best of friends when they get older. 

We FINALLY made it to the lake

I have been waiting all summer to get to Lake Tahoe.  We FINALLY made it (although Stu had a TON of homework to do).  It was so much fun and sweet Abi slept the whole time.

Happy Birthday

For Hannah's actual birthday we were going to go to the lake, but...it decided to rain.  So we hung out at home and didn't do to much.  We went to lunch and let her 'jump in muddle puddles' (her favorite show is Peppa Pig on Nic Jr. and the Pig family loves to jump in muddy puddles)

Princess Birthday Party

We decided to have a birthday party with friends this year.  Hannah is totally into princesses so we had a princess birthday party.

It was short and sweet (only an hour) and we made crowns, hit a pinata, ate cupcakes and opened gifts.  I think overall she had quite a fun birthday!

Blessing Day

Abigail's Blessing Day was today.  With the birth of Stu's sister Karly's baby 2 weeks after Hannah, we decided awhile ago to have a joint blessing day in SLC.  It was easier for us to travel back to SLC then to ask family to come here.  So the girls-Abigail and Harper were blessed on the same day.  It was a magical day-Stu did an awesome job with the blessing and SOOO many people came out to support us.  I have such amazing friends and I can't say how enough how much love I felt by them all being there!

My mom made Abigail's blessing dress and made it in the likeness of my wedding dress.  When she made Hannah's blessing dress she used actual material from the train of my wedding dress, but we didn't have any left to use and I wanted to continue the tradition.  So when she told me what she was doing with Abi's dress, I decided it would be fun to wear my wedding shoes to the blessing and when I opened the box-I found material left over from the purple sash I wore on my wedding day...So Abi DID get to wear something from my wedding dress.  My purple sash and the broach that was pinned to it.

Hair Cut

When Hannah was born I donated my hair to Locks of Love and with Abigail I was planning on doing the same thing.  Since my hair stylist is in SLC, I either do it when I go to SLC for Abigails blessing OR I have to wait till the end of September and by then it will be fall and I may change my mind.

 I am so glad I did it.  Stu says it reminds him of when we were dating since I had shorter hair.  I am glad I decided to do it while it is still summer and I can enjoy the freedom of short hair.

I really wanted to take Hannah to the zoo so we came into SLC early so we could have a day to go.  We took my dad and had a blast!
