Splash Pad

Some ladies in our ward with kids decided to hit up a splash pad.  It was a good distance away (about 20+ min) and with our hot 100+ days it should be a nice way to cool off.  But...it just so happens the day we decided to go the weather was in the low 90's.  It is still 90's, but the water was super cold and Hannah was purple and shivering as she ran through the water.  She would just shake and shake with cold but she didn't want to cover up, I think because she thought that meant it was time to go home.
Overall she had fun with her friends.

4th of July & 1 Month Birthday

We were going to go to breakfast, but with Hannah sleeping in till almost lunch, we decided to do lunch.  We have a Costa Vida here now, so we headed there.

My mom got the girls matching outfits for the 4th of July and the 4th also marked Abi's 1 month 'birthday".  

A few things about Abi that we have learned this 1st month:

*Gets hiccups after eating
*Good sleeper and sleeps 4-5 hours a night
*Shows how strong she is by lifting her head up
*Quite the grunter when she sleeps
*Seems to be ticklish
*Sleeps with her right hand by her face like she is holding a phone
*Loves to hear the sound of her sister's voice

Fireworks over Lake Taho

We decided to head to Kings Beach on the California side to watch the 4th of July fireworks. They actually do them the day before so that is nice if you want to hit up others on the 4th.

Since the fireworks don't start till its dark (9:30ish) and Hannah goes to bed around 7, we knew that we may be playing with fire keeping her up this late.

Hannah did pretty good.  We went to the lake with some people from the ward so she had friends to play with.  I brought her swimming suit, but since we got up there around 6 I thought it would be to cold.  Hannah had other plans, she still got in the water.  Thankfully I brought a change of clothes and her PJs, so we let her play in the water.

The fireworks were pretty awesome. I have seen a firework display before, but never over water. It was AMAZING.  I think the combination of the reflection of the water and the fact that they can do bigger/better ones because they are over water and not over highly flammable vegetation.

Hannah of course crashed in the car and we finally got her in her bed around 10:30.  She actually ended up sleeping till 10:30 the next day. Something she has NEVER done...sleep in past 8:30.
