Christmas in July

Who doesn't love Christmas?? Why not celebrate it 2 times in a year. For the last couple of years our friends the Jackson's have had Christmas in July. This occasion is complete with presents, turkey dinner and all the stuffing's and the movie "Christmas Vacation". This year Josh Wehner wanted to start the 1st annual softball game for Christmas in July. So Saturday July 25th we all met for a friendly game of softball.

Doug Jackson and Josh Wehner. Josh kicked off the softball game with a speech.
Here is me in the outfield. I was picked last for the teams (SIGH). I think it was because I was wearing a skirt. But I scored a base hit on my 1st time at bat (then we got out by another team member getting tagged). Don't let the skirt fool you.

Stu was the catcher. He wore a long sleeve shirt on a hot day so he was not excited to be out in the sun.

Blue came with us to the softball game. He kept trying to chase the ball and run with the runners but overall...he did really good with that big of a group. (He looks so cute in this picture)
It rained the day before so we had this little mud slide on our way to home. Doug made a rule that if you slide in the mud on your way to home the points double.

Later that day we headed to the Jackson's for Christmas Dinner. It was so yummy.

Look at all the fixings... The Jackson's even put up Christmas lights to help with the festivals.
