Yellowstone

Before Stu's little brother leaves on his mission in November, we got together to have one last Reeder Family Vacation. We headed up to Island Park in Idaho to a log cabin for some R&R. Stu and I were only able to stay for a few days since he had to work, but we had a good time while we were there. Games, movies, fresh air, Yellowstone, good food and laughter.

Sarah and Stu at the Idaho Sand dunes. If you saw Napoleon Dynamite this was the place where his grandma hurt her hip 4 wheeling on the dunes.
Stu decided to get his workout by climbing a mountain of sand to do jumps off it. I stayed below to take pictures.

Stu was doing front flips in the sand. I caught this one mid flip! And he landed it!

Sarah and Stu (with Trevor) at Old Faithful. Luckily we only had to wait about 20 min for her to blow.

This hot pool was called "Beauty Pool" so all us ladies got our picture taken in front of it.

It was cold the day we went to Yellowstone. The cold wind mixing with the hot pools created a lot of steam. I got this picture of Stu as he walked through a blanket of steam.

Trevor kept saying how nice it would be to dive into one of these hot pools. If you are interested- this one is only 200 degrees, pretty tame compared to some others.

The cabin we stayed at was just a short walk away from a lake. I thought this picture was great since it captured the water, the changing leavings and the mountains in the background.
